Nejprve tato práce charakterizuje controlling a osobu controllera. V této části práce je popsáno poslání controllingu, jeho cíle, zásady a úkoly. Dále se zaměřuje na principy, proces a nástroje controllingu a zabývá se controllingovými aktivitami v provozní a investiční fázi investičních projektů, včetně jejich kategorizace a technik pro vyhodnocení investic. Cílem této diplomové práce je u společnosti zhodnotit nastavený systém controllingových aktivit a doporučit společnosti opatření k lepšímu chodu společnosti za pomoci controllingu. Nejprve byla charakterizována vybraná společnost a byl představen controllingový a finanční útvar společnosti. Praktická část se dělí na 2 části - 1. část se věnuje reportingu, 2. část je zaměřen na investice. V reportingové části práce jsou navrhnuty 4 opatření pro zlepšení reportingu, komunikace mezi odděleními a hodnocení jednotlivých oddělení. V investiční části práce srovnává starý stroj, který nebyl velmi šťastně koupen, se strojem, který by byl za stanovených podmínek koupen nový. Hypotéza diplomové práce se zaměřuje na dobu návratnosti plynoucí z úspor zakoupením nového stroje ERMI. Práce počítá dílčí doby návratnosti plynoucí z úspor, ale také jako celkový ukazatel. Pro potvrzení hypotézy bylo zapotřebí srovnat dobu životnosti stroje, která byla určena dle vnitropodnikové směrnice, s celkovou dobou návratnosti plynoucí z úspor. The thesis characterizes the Financial controlling and the person of the controller. First part of the thesis describes the mission of controlling, its goals, policy and tasks. It also focuses on the principles, process and tools of controlling and deals with controlling activities in the operation and the investment phase of investment projects, including their categorization and techniques for investment evaluation. The goal of this diploma thesis was to review the company's set of controlling activities and recommend to the company proposals for better operation of the company. The practical part review the setup of system of controlling activities, especially in the area of reporting, both on a weekly and monthly basis. The thesis points out several proposals that will make the weekly and monthly reporting of the company easier. The thesis develops several measures that will help the company better evaluate individual departments. In the investment part of the thesis, it compares the old machine TREPKO, which was not very happily bought, with the new machine ERMI, which could be bought instead of old machine. The hypothesis of the diploma thesis focuses on the payback period resulting from the savings by purchasing a new ERMI machine. The thesis calculates the partial payback periods resulting from the savings, but also as an overall indicator. For the confirm of the hypothesis was necessary to compare the life of the machine, which was determined according to the internal company directive, with the total payback period resulting from the savings. The total payback period resulting from the savings when purchasing the ERMI is 3 years. H1 was confirmed because the calculated payback period for the ERMI machine is less than the machine lifetime.
