Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komentovaným překladem úvodních kapitol anglického románu The Collector Collector britského spisovatele Tibora Fischera do češtiny. Sestává se ze dvou částí: překladu a komentáře. Komentář obsahuje analýzu výchozího textu a rozbor překladatelských řešení, to vše s pomocí publikací Christiane Nordové (Text Analysis in Translation. Theory, Methodology, and Didactic Application of a Model for Translation- Oriented Text Analysis), Marie Čechové a kol. (Současná stylistika češtiny), Petera Newmarka (A Textbook of Translation) a Jiřího Levého (Umění překladu). It consists of two parts: translation and annotation. Theory, Methodology, and Didactic Application of a Model for Translation-Oriented Text Analysis), Marie Čechová et al. (Současná stylistika češtiny), Peter Newmark (A Textbook of Translation), and Jiří Levý (Umění překladu).
