Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na téma městské mobility obyvatel Prahy. V první části je provedena analýza historického a současného vývoje výzkumu městské mobility, počínaje Chicagskou školou sociologie v počátcích 20. století až k aktuálním koncepcím o dopravě ve velkoměstském prostředí. Přestože sociologický výzkum dopravy není vysoce rozšířený, bylo zapotřebí se obrátit i k jiným teoriím, spojeným s výzkumem měst. S pomocí těchto teorií byla stanovena kritéria pro pozorování a hypotézy pro provedení dotazníkového šetření. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována analýze klíčových motivů ve volbě dopravních prostředků a výzkumu potřeb lidí ve vztahu k dopravě. V druhé části je na základě dat z Institutu plánování a rozvoje Prahy a Dopravního podniku hl. m. Prahy analyzována doprava v Praze s ohledem na různé charakteristiky jejích uživatelů - demografické složení, směry dojížďky, bezpečnostní aspekty a celkovou dostupnost dopravy. Empirická část práce vychází ze dvou metod: pozorování a dotazníkového šetření. Výzkumné otázky pro pozorování, stejně jako hypotézy pro dotazníkové šetření, byly formulovány s ohledem na teoretické základy a analýzu existujících statistických dat. This master's thesis focuses on the topic of urban mobility of the residents of Prague. The first part includes an analysis of the historical and current development of urban mobility research, starting with the Chicago School of Sociology in the early 20th century up to current concepts of transportation in a metropolitan environment. Although sociological research on transportation is not highly widespread, it was necessary to also turn to other theories associated with urban studies. Using these theories, criteria for observation and hypotheses for conducting a survey were established. Special attention is given to analyzing key motives in the choice of transportation methods and research into people's needs for transport. In the second part, based on data from the Institute for Planning and Development of Prague and the Prague Public Transit Company, transportation in Prague is analyzed concerning various characteristics of its users - demographic composition, commuting directions, safety aspects, and overall accessibility of transport. The empirical part of the work is based on two methods: observation and a questionnaire survey.
