Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu kroužkování, tedy vědeckému značení ptactva, a v praktické části ho zpracovává do podoby fotoknihy s názvem Okroužkovaný vrabec v hrsti. Blíže pak téma vysvětluje teoretická část práce. Ta se zároveň snaží uvést fotoknihu do kontextu stanovených rovin fotografie přírody - soutěžní, magazínové a komerční; konceptuální a fotografie přírody s přesahem do fotožurnalismu. Odlišuje je od sebe prostřednictvím charakteristik, které podkládá příkladem fotografie či tvorby příslušného fotografa. Diskutuje v nich také otázku klišé. Nakonec reflektuje vznik a zařazování minoritních témat do médií na základě rozhovoru vedeného pro tuto bakalářskou práci s fotoreportérem Petrem Topičem, který sám téma kroužkování novinářsky zpracovával. Klíčová slova Kroužkování, fotografie přírody, ptactvo, minoritní téma, ornitologie, fotokniha The bachelor thesis is devoted to the topic of bird ringing, i.e. scientific tagging of birds, and in the practical part it takes a form of a photo book called Ringed Bird in a Handful. The theoretical part of the thesis explains this method in more detail. It also discusses nature photography and establishes three concepts of it - competition, magazine and commercial; conceptual and nature photography with an overlap into photojournalism. It uses them to contextualise the photobook within the genre of nature photography. This part also distinguishes these concepts from each other based on their characteristics and supports it with an example of a photograph or series from a corresponding photographer. It also discusses the question of clichés. Finally, it reflects on how minor topics are published in the media based on the information derived from an interview conducted for this bachelor thesis with photojournalist Petr Topič, who himself covered the topic of bird banding in a journalistic manner.
