a klíčová slova Současné zvyšování teploty atmosféry působí celou řadu globálních změn a ovlivňuje mnoho druhů organismů a jejich vzájemné interakce. Flebotomové jsou drobní zástupci dvoukřídlého hmyzu z čeledi Psychodidae, podčeledi Phlebotominae, kteří přenášejí leishmanie, parazitické bičíkovce (Kinetoplastida: Trypanosomatidae) působící významné lidské onemocnění leishmaniózu. Na základě literární rešerše lze konstatovat, že teplota prostředí zásadním způsobem ovlivňuje biologii flebotomů. Vysoké teploty zrychlují jejich metabolismus a zkracují délku vývoje nedospělých stádií, ovlivňují velikost a hmotnost těla (s rychlým růstem při vyšších teplotách jsou flebotomové menší), dále zkracují délku trávení krve, defekaci samiček i kladení vajíček. Nízké teploty naopak způsobují prodloužení délky vývoje, menší emergenci dospělců, zpomalené trávení a snížení počtu nakladených vajíček. Vysoké i nízké teploty mohou u larev a kukel vyvolat diapauzu. Optimální teplota, při které jsou všechny fyziologické funkce flebotomů vyvážené, je obecně 24-28 řC. Teplota taktéž ovlivňuje hostitelskou kompetenci flebotomů, leishmanie mají zřejmě toleranci vysokých teplot nižší než flebotomové a některé druhy leishmanií mohou mít za vyšších teplot kvůli urychlené defekaci samiček problém infekci úspěšně dokončit, a... and keywords The current rise in air temperature causes a range of global changes, affecting many species of organisms and their interactions. Phlebotomine sand flies are small members of Dipteran insects of the family Psychodidae, subfamily Phlebotominae, transmitting Leishmania, parasitic flagellates (Kinetoplastida: Trypanosomatidae) that cause the important human disease leishmaniasis. Based on the literature review, the external temperature significantly affects the biology of sand flies. High temperature accelerates their metabolism and shortens the growth rate of immature stages, also influencing body size and body weight (faster development in higher temperatures makes them smaller). The time needed for blood digestion is also reduced, and female defecation and oviposition are accelerated. On the other hand, cold temperatures prolong growth, and cause lower emergence of adult sand flies, slower digestion of blood, or number of laid eggs. Very high or very low temperatures can cause diapause in the larval stage or eggs. In general, the optimal temperature to cover all of their physiological needs is 24-28 řC.
