Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou PET obalů, přesněji nápojovými PET lahvemi, a možným řešením této problematiky využitím zálohového systému, který je označován jako „DRS“. Při porovnání současné situace nakládání s nápojovými PET lahvemi s nastavenými cíli a legislativou EU a ČR lze konstatovat, že je nutné upravit přístup k této části odpadového hospodářství. Moderním přístupem je přístup tzv. cirkulární ekonomiky, která odpad vnímá jako potenciální zdroj materiálu pro opětovnou výrobu. Nástrojem cirkulární ekonomiky je právě DRS, který v Evropě zaznamenává vysokou míru sběru nápojových PET lahví, tj. podíl vrácených lahví a lahví uvedených na trh. DRS však představuje pouze část celkového systému nakládání s nápojovými PET lahvemi, který pro správnou funkčnost vyžaduje efektivní zpracovatelský řetězec. Tento řetězec je v práci podrobně popsán od vrácení použité lahve až po výrobu lahve nové. Značným přínosem jsou v této kapitole informace získané v rozhovorech s odborníky z praxe a během návštěv výrobních linek na PET preformy a PET lahve. Práce je zakončena SWOT analýzou DRS v podmínkách ČR, kde bude zálohový systém zaveden pravděpodobně na začátku roku 2026 a jehož zavedení je v současnosti velmi diskutováno. This bachelor´s thesis deals with the issue of PET packaging, more precisely PET beverage bottles, and with a possible solution to this issue using Deposit Refund System, reffered to as „DRS“. When comparing the current situation of PET beverage bottle management with the set targets and legislation of the EU and the Czech Republic, it can be concluded that it is necessary to adjust the approach to this part of waste management. The modern approach is the approach of so called circular economy, which considers waste as a potential source of material for re-production. DRS is a tool of circular economy which indicates high collection rate of PET beverage bottles in EU, i.e. the proportion of bottles returned and bottles placed on the market. However, DRS is only part of the overall PET beverage bottle management system which requires an efficient processing chain to function properly. The chain is described in detail from returning the used bottle to the production of a new one. A significant benefit in this chapter is the information obtained in interviews with experts from practice and during visits to production lines for PET preforms and PET bottles. The thesis is concluded with a SWOT analysis of DRS in the Czech Republic where the deposit system is likely to be introduced at the beginning of 2026 and its introduction is currently being widely discussed.
