Urbanistický návrh území je reakcí na územní studií zpracovanou pro rozvojovou lokalitu v Brně Západní bránu, která je obklopená stavbami dominantního významu: Fakultní nemocnice Bohunice, Campus Square, fakulty Masarykovy univerzity. Daná lokalita je jedinečná v tom, že je jedna z mála v Brně, kde se dá umisťovat výškově budovy, proto ve svým návrhu aktivně pracuji s výškovou hladinou zástavby. Výškově dominanty jsou situovány na okrajích území z důvodu průběhu vzletového koridoru, svou pozici ale také vyvážuji celkovou kompozici území. Architektonické řešení navrženého objektu reaguje na urbanistickou strukturu a výšku zástavby v nejbližším okolí. Parter objektu respektuje průběh původního terénu, proto podnož je zčásti zapuštěná svou hmotou do podzemí. Provozně objekt je řešen formou ubytování pro studenty s prodejními plochami v parteru, které funkčně doplňují celkový provoz objektu. Objekt však disponuje i dalšími službou jako je student coworking, která by měla sloužit primárně pro shromáždění většího počtu studentů pro společnou práci nebo odpočinek. Samozřejmě provoz objektu je doplněn o funkční veřejného prostranství, které uzavírá svým tvarem. The urban design of the area is a reaction to the spatial study prepared for the West Gate development location in Brno, which is surrounded by buildings of dominant importance: Bohunice University Hospital, Campus Square, Masaryk University faculties. The given location is unique in that it is one of the few in Brno where buildings can be placed high up, so in my proposal I actively work with the elevation level of the building. The height dominants are situated on the edges of the territory due to the course of the take-off corridor, but I also balance the overall composition of the territory with my position. The architectural solution of the proposed building responds to the urban structure and height of the buildings in the immediate vicinity. The parterre of the building respects the course of the original terrain, which is why the plinth is partially embedded with its mass underground. Operationally, the building is designed as accommodation for students with sales areas on the ground floor, which functionally complement the overall operation of the building. However, the building also has other services such as student coworking, which should primarily serve to gather a larger number of students for joint work or rest. Of course, the operation of the building is complemented by a functional public space, which it encloses with its shape.
