Karate se řadí mezi nejpopulárnější bojová umění. Vyžaduje nejen vysoké technické dovednosti zaměřené na precizní kontrolu pohybu, ale klade důraz také na výbušnost a rychlost prováděných akcí. Ve sportovním zápase bývá pro závodníka rozhodující souhra a načasování pohybů dolních končetin, díky nimž závodník nejen určuje vzdálenost mezi ním a jeho oponentem, ale také získává potřebné body pomocí kopů. Ve své práci jsem se proto zaměřila na možnosti fyzioterapie ke zlepšení funkce dolních končetin u závodníků sportovního karate. Práce je rozdělena do teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se zabývám otázkami, co je karate, jaké jsou základní techniky, konkrétněji pak popisuji provedení karatistického kopu, vymezuji termín postura a popisuji anatomii a kineziologii dolní končetiny. V praktické části pak provádím výzkumnou část, kde se zaměřuji na využití jednotlivých cviků s cílem zlepšení posturální funkce dolních končetin u sportovních karatistů. Výzkumný soubor tvořili čtyři členové sportovního týmu, kteří se aktivně věnují disciplíně kumite (zápasy). Sportovci byli mužského i ženského pohlaví a řadili se do věkového rozpětí od 15 do 21 let. Terapie trvala celkem šest týdnů, probandi prováděli cvičení třikrát týdně. Pro zhodnocení terapie bylo provedeno porovnání vstupního a výstupního kineziologického vyšetření probandů, posturografické vyšetření, test rychlosti kopu za 30 sekund a Y balance test. Cíleně vedená cvičební jednotka vedla k pozitivním změnám ve stabilizační funkci dolních končetin a ke zrychlení provedení kopů. Výsledky posturografického vyšetření i Y balance testu ukazují u probandů zlepšení. Vstupní a výstupní kineziologický rozbor se lišil v závislosti konzistence cvičení. Práce může být využita sportovními trenéry či fyzioterapeuty. Karate belongs among the most popular martial arts. It requires not only high technical skills focused on precise control of movement but also emphasizes explosiveness and speed in executing actions. In competitive sports, the coordination and timing of lower limb movements are decisive for the athlete, allowing them not only to determine the distance between themselves and their opponent but also to score points through kicks. Therefore, in my work, I focused on the possibilities of physiotherapy to improve the function of the lower limbs in competitive karate athletes. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical section, I discussed what karate is, and its basic techniques, specifically describing the execution of the basic technique of karate kicking, defining the term posture, and describing the anatomy and kinesiology of the lower limb. In the practical part, I conducted a research study focusing on the use of various exercises aimed at improving the postural function of the lower limbs in sports karateka. The research sample consisted of four members of the sports team, who actively engage in the kumite discipline (matches). The athletes were both male and female, ranging in age from 15 to 21 years old. The therapy took place at the sports club over a period of six weeks, three times a week. To evaluate the therapy, a comparison of the initial and final kinesiological examinations of the subjects, posturographic examination, 30-second kick speed test, and Y balance test were conducted. Specialized exercise sessions led to positive changes in the stabilization function of the lower limbs and to an acceleration in the execution of kicks. The results of both the posturographic examination and the Y balance test indicate improvements among the subjects. The initial and final kinesiological analysis differed depending on the consistency of the exercise. This work can be used by sports coaches or physiotherapists.
