cze Abstract:
Přepisy rozhovorů byly analyzovány metodou tématické analýzy a kvůli nespočtu dalšího obsahu v textu bylo použito k doplnění i otevřeného kódování. This bachelor thesis, titled "Siblings and their relationships in children's home," is primarily focused on emphasizing the importance of working with siblings. The main goal of the thesis is to explore how caregivers, who spend time with these children and influence them in certain ways, perceive this topic. It aims to determine whether caregivers actively work with the children or if they do not feel the need to support their relationship. Another objective was to ascertain whether caregivers perceive that siblings influence each other and how this influence manifests. We also investigated the prevalence of sibling relationships in children's homes. The main research question posed and answered in the thesis is: Do caregivers in children's homes work on fostering sibling relationships? The research was conducted through qualitative methods, employing semi-structured interviews with caregivers from children's homes with extensive experience. Transcripts of the interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis, supplemented by open coding due to the abundance of content in the text. Emphasizing the importance of working with sibling relationships is one of the contributions of this thesis. Insights from this thesis can be utilized to improve the work of caregivers and other staff in children's homes. Since caregivers in children's homes influence the children placed there, it is essential to pay attention to their approaches towards the children. Information from the bachelor thesis should be integrated into specific practices in institutional care, while ensuring the best interests of the children themselves are kept in mind.
