Abstract: The properties of concretes based on different types of secondary coarse and fine aggregates were studied experimentally with a view to their potential for the construction of pavement layers. Namely, the prototypes were tested for compressive and flexural strengths, water absorption, and frost resistance. The results show that these concretes are characterized by fairly high tensile strength and frost resistance, which is an important requirement for road pavements. Thus, the use of secondary coarse and fine aggregates in pavement concretes could be a plausible solution from the viewpoint of both construction and environmental sustainability.
