Abstract: Aim of this paper is implementation of developed gunshot detection algorithm on TMS320C6713 digital signal processor. Used algorithm is based on 3 LPC coefficients, energy in 3 spectral bands and correlation against template. Analyzed acoustical signal is segmented into 23 ms frames. If a segment contains gunshot, it is signalized by flashing LED diode. This method results in 82% correct gunshot detection and approximately 3% false alarms averaged in various nongunshot sound categories.
