Diplomová práce se zabývá Havířovem, městem plného fenoménů. Je to nejmladší město v celé ČR, bylo založeno na zelené louce v moravskoslezském kraji. Architektura Havířova je jednotná a byla silně ovlivněna Sorelou. Město leží na rovině, obklopeno vodními nádržemi a nad nimi se ční Bílé Karpaty. Z celého okolí má město Havířov nejčistější ovzduší. Cílem práce bylo dát Havířovu novou ideu a odstranit nedostatky. Projekt řeší rozlehlou část v centru Havířova, kde chybí příjemné a útulné náměstí s obchůdky. Součástí řešeného území, je i vypořádání se s problematikou rychle stárnoucího města s velkým množstvím obyvatel. Století a byli to právě mladí lidé jdoucí za prací do dolů a železáren. Master thesis project presents Havířov, the city full of interesting things. It is the youngest city in the Czech Republic, built on a green meadow at Silesian Region. Architecture of Havířov is uniform and it was strongly influenced by Socialist realism. Town is located on the plane, surrounded by water tanks and White Carpathian Mountains. There are the cleanest air conditions from the whole surrounding area. The aim of the project was to find new idea and remedy the shortcomings of the city. The project addresses the issue of absence of typical picturesque square with stores in the city centre. Part of the objective is also dealing with the issue of rapidly aging city with a lot of inhabitants. This problem is based on the fact that in the 50s of the 20th century generation of young people at the same age were coming to Havířov due to possibility of work in the mines and ironworks.
