Bakalářská práce se zabývá obráběním slitin železa s vyšším množstvím uhlíku – litin. První část práce pojednává o vlastnostech těchto materiálů. Je zaměřena na výrobu, chemické složení nebo formy uhlíku, což jsou aspekty, které ovlivňují vlastnosti a obrobitelnost litin. Rozdíly v jednotlivých typech jsou shrnuty v kapitole zabývající se rozdělením litin. Druhá část je věnována obrábění. Obrobitelnost je zhodnocena u každé skupiny litin a jednotlivé části se věnují nástrojovým materiálům, opotřebení břitu nástroje nebo řeznému prostředí. Bachelor thesis deals with cutting operation of alloys of iron with high level of carbon – cast iron. First part of the thesis deals with properties of these materials. This part is focused on production, chemical composition and form of carbon, which are aspects that influence properties and machinability of cast iron. Differences in individual types are resumed in chapter, which deals with distribution of cast iron. Second part is devoted to machining. Machinability is evaluated for each group of cast iron and individual parts devotes to tool materials, wear of the tool edge and cutting surround.
