Diplomová práce se zabývá situací ve veřejné osobní dopravě v úseku Praha – Brno. Z technicko-ekonomického hlediska je v ní analyzován současný stav, kdy veřejná osobní doprava v úseku Praha – Brno je zajišťována železniční dopravou dotovanou Ministerstvem dopravy prostřednictvím úhrady prokazatelné ztráty a soukromou veřejnou linkovou dopravou provozovanou soukromými dopravci na své podnikatelské riziko. V kontextu stávající situace navrhuje zaměření základních parametrů pro posouzení vyváženého konkurenčního prostředí dalšího rozvoje osobní dopravy (železnice, silnice) s ohledem na stávající poptávku a socioekonomická hlediska v regionu. The thesis deals with the situation in public transport on public personal transport service between Prague and Brno. In the thesis, it is analysed the current situation between Prague – Brno from the technical and economic point of view. There is a public rail transport subsidized by Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic through payment of provable financial losses and private public coach services operated by private carriers on their own business risk. In the context of the current situation, the thesis suggests the focus of the basic parameters for a balanced assessment of the competitive environment for further development of passenger transport (rail, road) with regard to the existing demand and socio-economic aspects in the region.
