Cílem projektu je návrh novostavby kulturně-společenského centra v Brně na Mikuláškově náměstí ve Starém Lískovci. Základní myšlenkou návrhu nebylo pouze navrhnout stavbu, která spolehlivě vyhoví svému účelu, ale také vytvořit živé prostředí pro setkávání lidí a společné trávení volného času. Na daném pozemku uprostřed panelového sídliště navíc nebylo žádoucí ubírat zelených ploch, a tak došlo k utvoření parku na střechách objektů. Tím získal tento původně zapomenutý pozemek svůj charakter a nabyl významu. Navrženy byly dva objekty kulturního centra vetknuté pod terén a přemostění, které podporuje kontinualitu parku. Před hlavními vstupy z jižní strany vzniká předprostor, jehož součástí je mimo jiné i venkovní jeviště s hledištěm, které navazuje na širokou rampu klikatící se mezi oběma objekty. Umístění této rampy do centra návrhu bylo podstatné pro upřednostnění imobilních občanů. Před nástupem do objektů se dále nachází tzv. parkové náměstí tvořené nepravidelnými travnatými plochami a cestami vedoucími různými směry, jež vyplynuly z analýzy pohybu lidí na tomto prostoru. Jsou zde vysázeny stromy a cesty lemují dlouhé dřevěné lavičky ve tvarech kvádrů. The goal of this project is to design a new cultural and social center in Brno on the Mikulasek Square, Starý Lískovec. The main idea of the project was not only to design a building that would perfectly serve its purpose, but it was also to create a lively enviroment to meet people and to spend the leisure time. It was not required to detract the green areas in this housing estate. So there was a park created on the new building’s roofs. This is how the omitted place got its character and use. There are two buildings designed under the ground level and a bridge that helps the continuity of the park. On the south side in front of the main entrances there is a space with outdoor stage and auditorium followed by a wide ramp that meanders between the two buildings. The ramp was situated to the center of the project in order not to set aside the invalids. In front of the buildings there is also an area called ‚park square‘ which is formed by an irregular grass surfaces and pathes that lead to a various directiones. This space was designed according to an analysis of the people’s movement in this area. There are trees planted and the pathes are lined with long wooden rectangular-shaped benches.
