Při pohybu městem Brnem můžeme vnímat řadu fragmentů, stop nedokončených urbanistických vizí. Ty větší či menší měrou ovlivňují dnešní podobu města a vyvolávají vztahy nebo procesy, kterým nerozumíme. Pochopením původního konceptu můžeme takové lokality znovu uchopit a smysluplně s nimi pracovat. Předmětem této dizertační práce se stala trojice lokalit – náměstí Míru, Akademické náměstí a oblast Kraví hory. V těchto částech města můžeme při podrobnějším pohledu odhalit torza nedokončených záměrů. Jsou spolu spojena pomyslnou dějovou linií výstavby kampusu českých vysokých škol ve 20. a 30. letech minulého století. Ta byla klíčovým, avšak ne jediným, faktorem při formování podoby těchto veřejných prostorů. Cílem výzkumu je analyzovat historické souvislosti vývoje zastavění v oblastech dotýkajících se sledovaných lokalit. Definovat základní prostorový koncept jejich kompozice a analyzovat z něj vyplývající funkční a prostorové uspořádání. Vytvořený model meziválečné podoby byl konfrontován s dnešním stavem sledovaných území a také podroben detailnímu rozboru z hlediska formy, provozu a funkce. Podstatným úkolem výzkumu bylo zasazení dobového záměru do soudobého modelu struktury města Brna a ověření širších prostorových a provozních vztahů za pomoci animace a simulace pohybu člověka danou lokalitou. Výsledky práce mohou sloužit jako podněty orgánům statní správy pro další práci s těmito lokalitami a také pro urbanistickou praxi. During the movement of the city of Brno, we can perceive a series of fragments, stop unfinished urban visions. To greater or lesser extent affect the current appearance of the city and causing relationships or processes we do not understand. By understanding the original concept we can grab those sites again and meaningfully work with them. The subject of this thesis became a trio of locations - náměstí Míru (Peace Square), Akademické náměstí (Academic Square) and the area of Kraví hora (Cow Mountain). In these parts of the city we can reveal fragments of unfinished projects. They are joined together by imaginary storyline of campus construction of Czech universities in the 20s and 30s of the last century. That was the key, but not the only one, factor in shaping the form of these public spaces. The aim of the research is to analyze the historical context of the development of built-up areas affecting the monitored sites. Define the basic concept of spatial composition and analysis resulting of the functional and spatial arrangement. The model of the interwar form was confronted with the present state of the monitored area and also subjected to detailed analysis in terms of form, function and operation. The essential aim of this research was insertion plan of the period to the contemporary model of the structure of Brno and verification broader spatial and operational relationships with the help of animation and simulation of human movement with the site. The results can serve as stimuli state authorities for further working with these sites, as well as for urban practice.
