Tato práce se zabývá problematikou přepětí v elektrických sítích, možnými ochranami před účinky přepětí a problematikou testování svodičů přepětí. První část práce je zaměřena na problematiku přepětí v elektrických sítích, jsou zde popsány různé druhy přepětí, jak se projevují a jejich vlastnosti. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na možné druhy ochran před nepříznivými vlivy přepětí, jejich rozdělení, vlastnosti a možnosti použití. Závěr práce je věnován standardům svodičů přepětí a samotnému testování svodičů přepětí, na konec následuje návrh laboratorní úlohy na testování svodičů přepětí. This work deals with voltage surges in electrical grids, overvoltage protection and testing of surge arresters. The first part of thesis is focused on the issue of overvoltage impulses caused by different sources and their description. The next part of the thesis deals with surge arresters and it is focused on their classification, attributes and possible applications. The last part of the work describes standards and testing of surge arresters. Thesis includes a scheme of laboratory exercise for testing of a surge arresters.
