Základními východisky projektu je pochopení potřeb mentálně postižených osob a zhodnocení špatně využitelného záplavového území. Studie navrhuje vznik parku aktivit, ukázkové zahrady a objektu volnočasového a integračního centra. Centrum vytváří důležitý bod na trase z centra města do sousedního lázeňského města a propojuje dvě významné oblasti ve městě, které sdružují různá kulturní zařízení a sportoviště. Návrh protipovodňových opatření se vyvíjel od varianty s částečným navýšením terénu a umístěním protipovodňové hráze až po přírodě blízké opatření v podobně terénního valu, který neomezuje přirozené procesy na řece Bečvě a zachovává aktivní záplavovou zónu v téměř nezměněné podobě. Stavební program byl zpracován ve dvou variantách. V obou verzích je stěžejní kreativní kavárna, která je propojená s gastrodílnou. Ve stavebním programu A je kladen důraz na zahradnictví, program B se více zaměřuje na kreativní dílny. Navržený objekt reaguje na potřebu integrace postižených osob a vytváří místo, které umožňuje "setkávání se" v maximální možné míře. Kompozicí hmot jednotlivých provozu vznikají místa k veřejnému životu. Zahradní a parkové úpravy v řešeném území jsou voleny tak, aby plně podpořily charakter plánovaného volnočasového centra. Návrh je tvořen geometricky se střídajícími segmenty ploch o různé funkci, které spojuje promenáda vedoucí po koruně hráze. The basic starting point of the project is to understand needs of mentally disabled people and an evaluation of a badly usable floodplain. The draft proposes creation of an activity park, an exemplary garden and a leisure- and integration centre object. The centre generates an important point on the route from the city centre to the neighbouring spa town and connects two significant areas in the town, which associate various cultural and sports facilities. The design of flood-protection works was evolving from a version with a partial increase of the terrain and placement of a flood-protection dyke up to the nature-close arrangements in a terrain-dyke form, which doesn´t inhibit natural processes of the Bečva river and maintains an active flood zone in an almost unchanged shape. The building program was formulated in two versions. A creative café connected with a gastro-workshop is fundamental in the both versions. In the building program A a horticulture is emphasised, the building program B is more aimed at a creative-workshops. The new building is reacting to the needs for integration of disabled people and it's creating a place for “meeting”. The public space is creating by the composition of volume containing various functions. The garden- and park-arrangements in the studied area were chosen in the way to fully support the character of the planned leisure-centre. The draft is composed by geometrically alternating areas with different functions, which are connected by a promenade going along the dyke-crown.
