Teoretická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na popis a charakteristiku leukemických onemocnění, na jejich diagnostiku a léčbu. Dále se teoretická část soustředí na ošetřovatelskou péči u klienta s leukemií a na uspokojování biopsychosociálních potřeb. V neposlední řadě se zabývá komunikací a edukačním procesem v rámci leukemického onemocnění. Praktická část bakalářské práce je cílena na zjištění způsobu podání edukace, na oblastech prováděné edukace a na zjišťování spokojenosti s edukací u klientů s leukemií. K získání a zpracování dat praktické části bylo použito kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, pomocí metody polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Anonymní rozhovory byly vedeny se dvěma skupinami respondentů. První skupinu tvořily všeobecné sestry pracující na oddělení klinické hematologie a skupinou druhou byli klienti hospitalizovaní na tomto oddělení; klienti s diagnostikovaným leukemickým onemocněním. Zjištěné informace mohou pomoci ke zlepšení komunikace mezi zdravotníkem a klientem, ke zdokonalení edukace u klientů s leukemií a díky správně vedené edukaci i k usnadnění zvládání nemoci. The theoretical part of my bachelor thesis is focused on the description and characteristics of leukaemia, its diagnostics and treatment. Further, the theoretical part is focused on nursing care of clients suffering from leukaemia and meeting their bio-psycho-social needs. Last but not least, it deals with communication and the education process concerning leukaemia. The practical part of my bachelor thesis aims to find out the manner in which education is provided, the fields of the education conducted and how much clients suffering from leukaemia are contented with the education provided. To obtain data and process them, I used a qualitative research survey and the method of the semi-structured interview. I carried out anonymous interviews with two groups of respondents. The first group consisted of nurses working in a clinical haematology department, and the other were clients hospitalised in this department - clients with diagnosed leukaemia. The information that I obtained may help to improve communication between medical staff members and their clients, to improve the education of clients suffering from leukaemia, and, thanks to the correctly conducted education, to make dealing with the disease easier.
