Bakalářská práce shrnuje urbánně geografické poznatky o městě Plzni. Zahrnuje zhodnocení polohy města, jeho historického vývoje, kapitoly o fyzicko-geografických a sociálně-geografických složkách města a především vybrané analýzy prostorové struktury města a infrastruktury města. V rámci sociálně geografické charakteristiky jsou shrnuty informace o územně správním členění, o čtvrtích města, o vývoji počtu obyvatel, jsou zde také kratší popisy výrobních kapacit a ploch, zařízení vybraných druhů služeb, dopravy, rekreace a cestovního ruchu. Hlavní částí práce jsou analýzy geneticko-koncentrické, funkční a urbanisticko-morfologické prostorové struktury města a poznání stavu infrastruktury města. Bachelor thesis summarizes urban geographic information about the city Plzeň. Thesis includes an assessment of the position, its historical development, the chapters on physical-geographical and socio-geographic components of a particular subgroup analysis of the spatial structure of cities and infrastructure. The socio-geographical characteristics are summarizes information on the territorial division, about a quarter of the city, development of population, there are also short descriptions of manufacturing capacity and space, equipment, selected types of services, transport, recreation and tourism. Main part of genetic analysis, concentric, functional and urban spatial and morphological structure of the city and state of knowledge of the city's infrastructure.
