Zadáním diplomové práce je návrh nové městské struktury a posílení genia loci ve městě Třebíč. Řešené území se nachází v centru města v části Stařečka a oblasti Polanka. V řešeném území byl v 80. letech 20. st. vybudován průtah a velkokapacitní autobusové nádraží, které změnili jeho původní historický charakter struktury a do centra města přivedli velké množství dopravy. Hlavní myšlenkou návrhu je respekt ke stávající struktuře, a především k objevení jejích hodnot a genia loci. Návrhem je vhodné doplnění a navýšení stávající struktury a vytváření nové blokové struktury, která jasně definuje soukromý a veřejný prostor. Návrh počítá s výstavbou jižního obchvatu, který umožní úpravu hlavních komunikací v centru. Dalšími prvky návrhu je odkrytí, úprava vedení a zpřístupnění Stařečského potoka, přestavba autobusového nádraží a zlepšení pěší prostupnosti územím. Nově navržená zástavba je převážně obytná pro zvýšení hustoty zalidnění centra města a aby se zároveň omezilo rozšiřování zastavěného území, obytnou zástavbou, do krajiny. The assignment of the diploma thesis is the design of a new city structure and the strengthening of the genius loci in the city of Třebíč. In the 1980s there was a construction of large-capacity bus station together with main road which has led to demoition of multiple original historic building and changing the character of the area. The main idea of the proposal is respecting of the existing structure and especially finding the values and genius loci. The proposal is to gently complete the structure with adding stories and creating new block structure which clearly defines public and private space. The proposal envisages the construction of a southern bypass, which allows the modification of the main roads in the center. Other elements of the design are the discovery, modification of the line and access to the Stařečka stream, reconstruction of the bus station and improvement of pedestrian permeability through the area. The newly designed development is mostly residential in order to increase the density of inhabitants living in the city center and at the same time to limit the expansion of the built-up area by residential development into the landscape.
