eng Abstract:
[eng][cze] The potential for dinitrogen fixation by heterocystous cyanobacteria isolated from soils of different geographical areas was determined as nitrogenase activity (NA) using the acetylene reduction assay. NA of cyanobacteria of various morphology under light and dark conditions was compared and the dependence of NA on frequency of heterocysts was followed.
