eng Abstract:
This thesis centers on evaluating the influence of intercultural competence on employee engagement levels within the international work environment of multinational corporations. The primary objective is to assess the extent to which intercultural competence can impact employee engagement. A secondary objective is to examine the significance of intercultural competence in cultivating a robust, positive, and supportive workplace atmosphere. Additionally, the study aims to draw the attention of both managers and employees to the profound impact of cultural factors on work performance and engagement. Consequently, practical recommendations are provided to enhance intercultural competence and, consequently, elevate employee engagement levels. To establish the correlation between intercultural competence and employee engagement, a quantitative approach is employed, analyzing data obtained from an online survey involving 187 participants. The thesis employs regression analysis and hypothesis testing to establish the mathematical relationship between these two variables. Qualitative methods are also utilized to compare and analyze perspectives gathered from interviews, offering practical suggestions to employees, managers, and organizations to improve intercultural competence and simultaneously boost engagement levels.
