V souvislosti s plánovanou realizací megaprojektu vysokorychlostní tratě (VRT) v České republice se v dotčených regionech a městech začínají formovat a kolovat spekulace, příběhy o budoucnosti, revitalizační diskurzy a pozitivní i negativní očekávání týkající se dopadů výstavby. Správa železnic v současnosti navzdory původní koncepci územního rozvoje pracuje s možností vedení trasy VRT Praha - Drážďany skrz město Ústí nad Labem, výzkumný terén předložené práce, a s možností výstavby speciálního železničního terminálu v jeho centru. Konkrétní podoba trasy i terminálu ale zůstává nejasná, což, kromě vlastního záměru, přispívá k řadě sporů a spekulací. Někteří aktéři rámují projekt jako zásadní příležitost pro pozitivní změnu města i regionu, mnozí naopak vnímají vedení trasy centrem Ústí jako zásadní hrozbu a radikální negativní zásah do samotné struktury města, a pro některé je celá záležitost neuchopitelná či ambivalentní. Cílem práce je pomocí metody diskurzivní analýzy popsat, jakým způsobem se v rámci různých diskurzivních praxí artikuluje a legitimizuje příběh o budoucnosti města Ústí nad Labem prostřednictvím infrastrukturního příslibu terminálu VRT. Práce si klade následující výzkumné otázky: Jak skrze diskurzivní praxe infrastrukturních příslibů působí představy budoucnosti na přítomnost a v... In the context of the planned implementation of the High Speed Rail (HSR) megaproject in the Czech Republic, speculations, stories about the future, revitalization discourses as well as positive and negative expectations related to the impacts of the project implementation are beginning to take shape and circulate in the affected regions and cities. The Czech Railways Administration (Správa železnic) is currently working with the possibility of routing the HSR Prague - Dresden through the city of Ústí nad Labem, the research site of the presented work, and with the possibility of building a special railway terminal in its centre, despite the original concept of territorial development. However, the exact form of the route and the terminal remains unclear, which, apart from the plan itself, causes a number of disputes and speculations. Some actors frame the project as a major opportunity for positive change in the city and the region, while many perceive the route through the centre of Ústí as a major threat and a radical negative intervention into the very fabric of the city, and for some the whole issue is elusive or ambivalent.
