Podle školského zákona má být škola apolitická, zároveň má ale učitel studenty hodnotově vzdělávat. Je tedy otázkou, nakolik je lepší zachovat nestrannost, aby nedocházelo k ovlivňování studentů, a v jaké míře naopak své názory prezentovat za účelem hodnotového vzdělávání. Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak vnímají středoškolští učitelé v Česku potřebu a možnosti nestranné výuky politické geografie a s ní souvisejícího hodnotového vzdělávání. Dílčím cílem bylo navrhnout vhodné metody pro nestrannou výuku politické geografie v hodinách zeměpisu na střední škole. Část práce je zaměřena konkrétně na výuku války v Jugoslávii a na diskuzi nestranného pojetí tohoto konfliktu. Výzkum zahrnoval kvantitativní dotazník, kterého se zúčastnilo 277 respondentů z řad středoškolských učitelů, po kterém následovalo 9 kvalitativních rozhovorů se středoškolskými učiteli. Čeští středoškolští učitelé zeměpisu podporují nestrannou výuku politické geografie a snaží se nestranného přístupu docílit. Hodnotové vzdělávání je pro ně ale důležitějším aspektem, který staví nad požadavek nestrannosti. The question is how far it is better to remain impartial in order to avoid influencing students and how far it is better to present personal opinion for the purpose of value-based education. The aim of the thesis was to find out how high school teachers in Czechia perceive the need and possibilities of impartial teaching of political geography and related value-based education. The second objective was to propose suitable methods for impartial teaching of political geography in high school geography classes. Part of the thesis is specifically focused on the teaching of the war in Yugoslavia and the discussion of the impartial conception of this conflict. The research involved a quantitative survey involving 277 respondents from among high school teachers, followed by 9 qualitative interviews with high school teachers. The core of the work is the results of the research, which are compared with each other and presented in the form of graphs, tables and excerpts from interviews.
