Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení vlivu zemědělství a jeho role ve vzájemných vztazích mezi Evropskou unií a Mercosurem v rámci dohody o volném obchodu. V první části je vysvětlen obecný vývoj mezinárodního obchodu, odlišnosti zemědělských politik obou stran a také jejich vzájemný agrární obchod. Ve druhé, analytické, části se práce věnuje již konkrétnímu vlivu zemědělství v dohodě, jednotlivým postojům vybraných členských států EU i Mercosuru, zemědělských organizací a spolků kterých se důsledky úspěšného ratifikování dohody dotknou. Nakonec je také popsán aktuální vývoj dohody od znovuzvolení brazilského prezidenta Luly da Silvy, což nastiňuje další možný vývoj ratifikace a možný vstup v platnost této dohody. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the impact of the agriculture and its role in the mutual relations between European Union and Mercosur within the Free Trade Agreement. In the first part of this diploma thesis there is an explanation of the general development of international trade, dissimilarities of the agricultural politics from both sides and also their mutual agrarian trade. The main focus of the second part is particular influence of the agriculture in the agreement, individual stances of the chosen member states of the European Union and Mercosur but also of the agricultural organizations and associations. The last part focuses on the development of the Free Trade Agreement since reelection of the Brazilian president Lula de Silva which could outline possible development of the ratification and possible validity of this agreement.
