Plýtvání potravinami je závažný problém, na který se v poslední době soustředí čím dál tím více subjektů. Důsledky plýtvání potravinami se odrážejí v ekologické, ekonomické, ale také sociální sféře. I přesto si někteří spotřebitelé stále neuvědomují, jakou roli hrají při vytváření potravinového odpadu. Z tohoto výzkumu bylo například zjištěno, že 50 % respondentů se domnívá, že největší vinu za plýtvání potravinami nesou maloobchody a velkoobchody. Je však možné ovlivnit mileniály a jejich chování tak, aby omezili plýtvání potravinami? Jaká je vhodná forma působení intervenčního módu na generaci Y? Na základě výsledků dotazníkového šetření byl zjištěn vhodný intervenční mód k ovlivnění generace Y, aby omezili plýtvání potraviny. Intervenční mód byl následně empiricky otestován. Food waste is a serious problem that more and more subjects have been focusing on recently. The consequences of food waste are reflected in the ecological, economic and social spheres. Even so, some consumers are still unaware of the role they play in creating food waste. For instance, in the survey was found out that 50 % of respondents believe that retailers and wholesalers are most to blame for food waste. But is it possible to influence millennials and their behaviour to reduce food waste? What is the appropriate form of intervention mode for Generation Y? Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, a suitable intervention mode was identified to influence Generation Y to reduce food waste. The intervention mode was empirically tested.
