Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na seniory, kteří využívají moderní informační technologie v Domově pro seniory Máj. Senioři používají počítač spíše ve výjimečných případech. Počet osob pětašedesátiletých a starších, které začaly využívat počítač, však vzrostl během posledních čtyř let více než čtyřikrát. Teoretická část práce je rozdělena na čtyři základní okruhy. První okruh se zabývá problematikou stáří a stárnutí, druhý okruh je zaměřen na komunikaci se seniory, třetí okruh zahrnuje aktivní využití volného času seniorů a čtvrtý okruh se týká seniorů a informačních technologií. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, k čemu obvykle využívají senioři počítač v Domově pro seniory Máj. K zodpovězení tohoto cíle byly stanoveny dílčí výzkumné otázky. Výzkum byl realizován v Domově pro seniory Máj v Českých Budějovicích. Ke sběru dat byla použitá strategie kvalitativního výzkumu a zvolena metoda dotazování pomocí techniky polostandardizovaného rozhovoru. Respondenti odpovídali na dílčí výzkumné otázky. Výsledky z rozhovorů byly systematicky prohledávány podle jednotlivých rozdílů zachycených v odpovědích. Tyto rozdíly byly porovnány a zpracovány. Práce může být inspirací pro jiné domovy, které by měly zájem o zprostředkování vzdělávacích programů zaměřených na ICT s využitím pro seniory. Dále lze práci využít pro informovanost laické a odborné veřejnosti o počítačové gramotnosti seniorů a o využívání počítačů seniory. Tuto práci lze využít k informovanosti koordinátorů dobrovolníků, kteří pracují se seniory a mají zájem o pomoc ve vzdělávání seniorů v oblasti informatiky. This bachelor?s paper is focused on seniors who use modern information technology in the senior citizens? home Máj. It is rather exceptional for seniors to use computers. However, the number of people aged sixty-five and over who started to use computer increased more than four times over the past four years. The theoretical part of the paper is divided into four main topics. The first topic deals with issues of old age and ageing, the second topic is focused on communication with seniors, the third topic covers seniors? active leisure, and the fourth topic involves seniors and information technology. The objective of the paper was to establish for what purposes seniors in the senior citizens? home Máj usually use computer. To achieve this objective, individual research sub-questions were determined. The research was carried out in the senior citizens? home Máj in České Budějovice. For data collection, qualitative research strategy was used and the inquiry method using semi-standardised interview technice was chosen. The respondents answered the individual research sub-questions. The interview outcomes were systematically searched through according to the individual differences recorded in the answers. These differences were compared and processed. The paper can be an inspiration for other senior citizens? homes that would be interested in arrangement of educational programmes aimed at ICT utilisable for seniors. The paper can further be used to raise awareness of lay and professional public concerning seniors? computer literacy and use of computers by seniors. The paper can also be utilised to inform voluntary coordinators working with seniors and interested in assisting seniors? education in the information technology area.
