Abstract: Hlavním úkolem bakalářské práce nesoucí název "Nejstarší pamětní kniha farnosti Vlachova Březí (1731-1811)" je představit čtenáři téma farních kronik. Jedná se o diplomatický rozbor pramene důležitého pro církevní dějiny v dané farnosti. V úvodu se seznamuje čtenář s tématem a hodnocením literatury a pramenů, které se věnují této problematice. Samotná práce je členěna do tří kapitol. První z nich přináší přehledný popis dějin města. Ve druhé kapitole jsou popsány dějiny farnosti se zřetelem na období, kdy byla pamětní kniha psána. Strukturou pamětní knihy se zabývá třetí kapitola, která je rozdělena do čtyř podkapitol; Vnější popis, Vnitřní popis, Kronikáři, Rozbor zápisů. Poslední podkapitola se věnuje zhodnocení jednotlivých zápisů a může být využita jako průvodce samotným pramenem. V závěru jsou shrnuty veškeré poznatky týkající se pamětních knih. Jsou zde načrtnuty i možnosti jejího dalšího využití jako historického pramene. Součásti práce je seznam pramenů a literatury a přílohy, které obsahují přehledné tabulky a ukázky písma jednotlivých autrů kroniky.

At the close are compiled total knowledge about memorial books. There are too sketech the possibilities of its another usage like historical source. The essay also includes a list of resources; literature and appendixes that show well-arranged tables and handwriting samples of each of the authors of the chronicle.; The inside description; The main object of this Bachelor essay ?The oldest memorial book of parish Vlachovo Brezi (1731-1811)? is to introduce to the reader the theme of parish chronicle. It is a diplomatic study of sources that are important for church history in given parish. In the introduction acquaint a reader with this theme and evaluate the literature and sources; The outside description; which deal about it. The essay is divided into three chapters. The first chapter brings forward general summary of the history of the town. In the second chapter is described history of the parish with the emphasis on the period in which was written the memorial book. The third chapter engage in a structure of the memorial book. This chapter is dividend into four subchapters
