Absence otce během dětství a dospívání může mít významný vliv na pohlavní zrání a na partnerské vztahy. Jelikož specifika pohlavního zrání i partnerských vztahů se mezi pohlavími liší, je důležité zkoumat vliv absence otce zvlášť u mužů a zvlášť u žen. Cílem této práce je představit současný stav poznání o vlivu absence otce na partnerské vztahy. Většina výzkumů se dosud zaměřovala na ženy, proto se tato práce zaměří na muže. Teoretická část představuje teorii životních strategií jako teoretický rámec pro vysvětlení variability v reprodukčních strategiích v závislosti na podmínkách prostředí. Následně je popsáno pohlavní zrání a vlivy prostředí, které ho ovlivňují, neboť načasování pohlavní zralosti má dopad na partnerské vztahy. Další část se zaměřuje na partnerské vztahy, konkrétně na vliv absence otce na párovací strategie a na partnerskou spokojenost. Cílem návrhu výzkumného projektu je testovat hypotézy o vlivu absence otce a kvality vztahu s otcem na načasování pohlavního zrání, sociosexuality a partnerské spokojenosti u mužů. Výsledky dosavadních studií jsou značně limitované, proto jsou v závěru práce navrženy možné směry pro budoucí výzkum. Nové poznatky by mohly být použity v individuální či párové psychoterapeutické praxi i v osvětě širší veřejnosti. Father absence during childhood and adolescence can have a significant impact on sexual maturation and on intimate relationships. As the specifics of sexual maturation and partner relationships differ between the sexes, it is important to examine the impact of father absence separately for men and women. The aim of this paper is to present the current state of knowledge on the impact of father absence on intimate relationships. Most research to date has focused on women, so this paper will focus on men. The theoretical part presents life-history theory as a theoretical framework to explain the variability in reproductive strategies depending on environmental conditions. Subsequently, sexual maturation and the environmental influences that affect it are described, as the timing of sexual maturation has implications for intimate relationships. The next section focuses on intimate relationships, specifically the impact of father absence on mating strategies and on relationship satisfaction. The aim of the research design is to test hypotheses about the effects of father absence and father relationship quality on the timing of sexual maturation, sociosexuality, and partner satisfaction in men.
