Sedmiletá válka je dnes mnohými pokládána za první konflikt celosvětového rozsahu, neboť se bojovalo jak v Evropě, tak v Asii a v Severní Americe. Bakalářská práce se bude zabývat jednou její důležitou epizodou a sice letním tažením na Moravě roku 1758 a s tím souvisejícím obléháním Olomouce vojsky Fridricha II. Tento střet měl významný vliv na vývoj celého konfliktu. Jednalo se o teprve druhou větší porážku pruského panovníka v této válce. Co je však důležitější, tak tím byly definitivně ukončeny pruské šance na obsazení Moravy a pozdějšího tažení na Vídeň. Naopak se poté museli stáhnout do defenzívy a vrátit se zpět do Slezska. V práci budou vysvětleny krátce okolnosti celého konfliktu. Poté už se bude dílo více zabývat letními měsíci roku 1758. Budou zde blíže popsány dispozice a strategie obou stran, stejně jako jejich cíle a vojenské taktiky. V závěru budou vysvětleny jak důvody pruské porážky, tak i význam celého střetnutí na konflikt mezi Pruskem a Habsburskou monarchií, potažmo na celou válku. The Seven Years' War is now considered by many to be the first conflict on a global scale, as it was fought in Europe, Asia and North America. The bachelor's thesis will deal with one important episode of it, namely the summer campaign in Moravia in 1758 and the related siege of Olomouc by the troops of Frederick II. This clash had a significant influence on the development of the whole conflict. It was only the second major defeat of the Prussian monarch in this war. More importantly, however, it put a definitive end to the Prussian chances of capturing Moravia and later campaigning for Vienna. Instead, they were then forced to retreat to the defensive and return to Silesia. The thesis will briefly explain the circumstances of the conflict. After that, the work will deal more with the summer months of 1758. The dispositions and strategies of both sides will be described in more detail, as well as their objectives and military tactics. Finally, the reasons for the Prussian defeat will be explained, as well as the significance of the whole encounter for the conflict between Prussia and the Habsburg monarchy, and consequently for the war as a whole.
