Problematika seniorského věku je v současné době i vzhledem k demografické situaci aktuálním společenským tématem. Seniory, zvláštnostmi jejich věku a jejich potřebami se zabývají mnohé vědní disciplíny a také nejrůznější organizace, jejichž cílem a úkolem je přispět ke snadnějšímu zvládání obtíží, které jsou obvykle se stárnutím a stářím spojovány. Bakalářská práce se vyslovuje k tématu seniorského věku v rovině jeho úspěšného aktivního prožívání, k němuž může přispět také fyzioterapie a léčebná rehabilitace. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na popis seniorského věku, možnosti fyzioterapie a léčebné rehabilitace ve stáří a pozici fyzioterapeuta v zařízení zdravotní a sociální péče. V praktické části bakalářské práce jsou vyhodnoceny dotazníky z anonymního dotazníkového šetření, které bylo provedeno v některých zařízeních zdravotní a sociální péče ve vybraných městech Plzeňského (Plzeň, Klatovy, Sušice) a Jihočeského kraje (České Budějovice, Strakonice, Vodňany). V dotazníkovém šetření bylo zjišťováno, zda kinezioterapie a jednotlivé formy fyzikální terapie tvoří součást standardní nabídky služeb těchto zkoumaných zařízení a zda odlišné nabídce odpovídá také odlišná spokojenost seniorů. Z výsledků šetření vyplývá, že některé formy fyzikální terapie ve vybraných dotazovaných zařízeních příliš zastoupeny nejsou, což ovšem spokojenost seniorů příliš neovlivňuje. Současně respondenti poskytované služby fyzioterapie a léčebné rehabilitace využívají v poměrně malém množství. Proto by bylo dobré nejen rozšiřovat v zařízeních zdravotní a sociální péče nabídku fyzioterapie a léčebné rehabilitace, ale také současně zvyšovat informovanost seniorů o jejich blahodárném vlivu na fyzické a duševní zdraví. Problems of senior age are currently and in the view of demographic situation an up-to-date social issue. Many branches of science and various organizations deal with senior age, its particularities in order to help to cope with difficulties which are usually associated with aging and old age. Bachelor thesis involve in the issue of senior age in its active experience which might be strengthened by physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation. The theoretical part of thesis focuses on description of senior age, possibilities of physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation in the old age and on the role of a physiotherapist in the health and social services. The practical part of bachelor thesis assesses questionnaires of an anonymous survey which has been carried out in several health and social services of chosen towns in the Plzeň region (Plzeň, Klatovy, Sušice) and South Bohemia region (České Budějovice, Strakonice, Vodňany). The questionnaires assessed whether a standard offer of those health and social services provided kinesiotherapy and various forms of physical therapy and whether the different offer showed the different satisfaction of seniors. The results show that some forms of physical therapy in the chosen health and social services are not represented, nevertheless this fact does not considerably influence the seniors´ satisfaction. In fact the respondents relatively seldom use provided services of physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation. That is why it would be helpful to extend the offer of physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation in the health and social services and at the same time to increase seniors´ information about the beneficial effect on their physical and mental health.
