Tato práce je zaměřena na zkoumání společných znaků mezi náboženskou společností Svědkové Jehovovi ajudaismem na území České republiky. Nejprve se věnuje historickému vzniku samotné náboženské společnosti a jejím kořenům na našem území. Dále struktuře afungování této organizace a událostem druhé světové války, které příslušníkům obou zkoumaných vyznání přinesla mnoho utrpení. Poté sleduje podobnosti mezi tradicemi a zvyky a s tím spojeným způsobem života. Na závěr zkoumá vlastní vnímání vztahu členů náboženské společnosti Svědků Jehovových k judaismu. K tomuto účelu jsou použity kvalitativní rozhovory se stávajícími i s bývalými členy a kvantitativní dotazníky, které byly předány členům vjednotlivých sborech. Terénní výzkum byl proveden ve sborech náboženské společnosti Svědků Jehovových a to konkrétně ve sboru v Benešově a na území hlavního města Prahy. This thesis is focused on the research of common features between the religious society of Jehovah's Witnesses and Judaism in the Czech Republic. First, it deals with the historical origin of the religious society itself and its roots in our country. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the structure and functioning of this organization and with the events of World War II, which brought much suffering to its members and to Jewish people. It then traces the similarities between traditions and customs and the associated way of life. Finally, it examines the self-perception of the relationship of members of the Jehovah's Witnesses religious society to Judaism. For this purpose, qualitative interviews with current and former members and quantitative questionnaires administered to members in each congregation are used. The field research was conducted in the congregations of the Jehovah's Witnesses religious society, specifically in the congregation in Benešov and in the territory of the capital city of Prague.
