Tématem předkládané diplomové práce je diplomatická kariéra Huga Vavrečky. Pokusí se popsat jakým způsobem se Vavrečka dostal přes svou anabázi v Terstu a expertní roli na Pařížské mírové konferenci do československé zahraniční služby. Dále bude kladen důraz na jeho politické zprávy a veškerou jeho činnost v kontextu mezinárodních vztahů během diplomatických misí v Hamburku, Budapešti a Vídni. Text bude vytvořen zejména z primárních pramenů, dobových periodik a odborné literatury. The subject of the presented thesis is the diplomatic career of Hugo Vavrečka. The thesis attempts to describe how he entered the Czechoslovak foreign service through his anabasis in Trieste and his expert role at the Paris Peace Conference. The emphasis is placed on his political reports and all his activities during his diplomatic missions to Hamburg, Budapest and Vienna in the context of international relations. The research material has mainly been drawn from primary archival sources, contemporary periodicals and scientific literature.
