Abstract: (English) This Bachelor thesis focuses on football events in the English football environment that occured in the eighties of the 20th century. The thesis analyzes the causes of these tragedies, such as Hillsborough and Heysel, and examines how these events happened, how they relate to hooliganism and how they have affected safety on stadiums. Title: Disasters of the English football in the eighties of the 20th century The aim of the work: The aim of the thesis is to analyse the events that took place in the eighties of the 20th century. It concerns the final match at Heysel Stadium and the semi-final match at Hillsborough Stadium. The thesis looks at the causes and consequences of these tragedies and how sports organisations have prevented similar events from happening again. Methods: My thesis was based on analysis of available sources such as newspaper articles, internet articles, documents and books that deal with this topic.
