Bakalářská práce analyzuje životopis Edmunda Schwarzenberga, příslušníka jednoho z nejbohatších šlechtických rodů Evropy. Úkolem práce je především rozšířit na základě pramenů informace o jeho osobnosti a vytvořit tak komplexnější pohled na člověka, jenž se naprosto vymykal své době. Žil téměř celý život v dluzích a stýkal se s lidmi jiného postavení, než bylo vzhledem k jeho původu běžné. Na úvod tato práce seznamuje čtenáře s kontextem doby, kdy se doslova rozbily staré pořádky monarchie a vznikly nové státy s jinými politickými systémy, kterým právě členové vyšších rodů museli čelit. Princ Edmund Schwarzenberg této nové době čelil poněkud zvláštním způsobem, proto je tato práce věnována právě jemu. Klíčová slova: Edmund Schwarzenberg, Šlechta, Rod Schwarzenbergů, Edmund Černov. The bachelor thesis analyses the biography of Prince Edmund Schwarzenberg, a member of one of the richest and noblest houses in Europe. The main aim of the thesis is to expand his personality on the basis of historical sources and thus create a more comprehensive view of a man who was completely out of his time. He lived almost his entire life in debt and socialized with people of a different status than was common given his background. At the outset, this work introduces the reader to the context of a time when the old orders of the monarchy were literally being shattered and new states with different political systems were being created, which it was the members of the higher families who had to face.
