Výživa je jedním z prognostických, prediktivních a také námi ovlivnitelných rizikových faktorů vzniku civilizačních chorob, které způsobují jednoznačně nejvyšší mortalitu na našem území. Obezita, metabolický syndrom, kardiovaskulární onemocnění, hypertenze a diabetes mellitus 2. typu progredují u osob žijících s lidským virem imunodeficience (PLWH) prokazatelně dříve a rychleji než u populace HIV negativní. Zásluhou modernizace antiretrovirové terapie (ART) je u adherentních jedinců incidence wasting syndromu či lipodystrofického syndromu velice nízká, ne-li nulová. Infekce HIV společně s ART a nesprávnou životosprávou však nyní představují určité riziko vzniku nežádoucích komorbidit právě v podobě civilizačních onemocnění. Komplexní problematika nutriční péče pro PLWH by měla být součástí profesní výbavy každého nutričního terapeuta. Dotazníková šetření určená pro kvalifikované nutriční terapeuty a vzdělávací instituce, jež byla aplikována pro první úsek praktické časti této práce, potvrdila všechny zformulované hypotézy. Výsledkem této části je zjištění nedostatečné edukace a absence hlubších znalostí v oblasti výživy pro PLWH u téměř 95 % dotazovaných nutričních terapeutů společně s potvrzením absence této problematiky u 9 ze všech 13 vzdělávacích institucích kvalifikující nutriční terapeuty v... Nutrition is one of the prognostic, predictive and also modifiable risk factors for the development of civilization diseases, which unequivocally cause the highest mortality in our territory. Obesity, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes mellitus have been shown to progress earlier and more progressively among people living with human immunodeficiency virus (PLWH) rather than in the HIV-negative population. Thanks to the modernization of antiretroviral therapy (ART), the incidence of wasting or lipodystrophic syndrome among adherent individuals is very low, if not zero. However, HIV infection together with the ART and unhealthy lifestyle now represent a certain risk of undesirable comorbidities in the form of civilization diseases. The complex topic of nutritional care for PLWH should be part of the professional knowledge of every nutritional therapist. Questionnaire surveys intended for qualified nutritional therapists and educational institutions, which were applied for the first section of the practical part of this thesis, confirmed all formulated hypotheses.
