The main goal of this thesis is to investigate azimuthal asymmetries in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS) of polarized muons on unpolarized nucleons using data collected by the COMPASS experiment at CERN. With a larger data sample than in previous studies, we aim towards reducing statistical errors of the results. To fully un- derstand the azimuthal modulations, this thesis gives a brief introduction to the theory of the transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMD-PDFs). We describe SIDIS process as well as the COMPASS detector set-up for SIDIS measure- ments and examine the process of generating Monte Carlo simulations through beam file extraction studies. The results of our analysis contribute to ongoing efforts to better un- derstand the quark-gluon structure of the nucleon, and the interplay between TMD-PDFs and azimuthal asymmetries in SIDIS. 1 Hlavním cílem této práce je zkoumat azimuthální asymetrie v semi-inkluzivním hlu- boce nepružném rozptylu (SIDIS) polarizovaných mionů na nepolarizovaných protonech s použitím dat, která byla naměřena na experimentu COMPASS v CERN. Analýzou většího vzorku dat, než byl k dispozici pro předchozí studie, chceme docílit zmenšení systema- tické chyby. Pro lepší pochopení azimuthálních modulací dává tato práce stručný úvod do teorie partonových distribučních funkcí závislých na transverzální hybnosti (TMD- PDFs). Zároveň popisuje samotný SIDIS proces a sestavu experimentu COMPASS pro jeho měření. Budeme se také zabývat generováním Monte Carlo simulací skrze studium extrahování beam file. Výsledky této analýzy přispívají k lepšímu porozumění kvark- gluonové struktury nukleonu a vztahu mezi TMD-PDFs a azimuthálními asymetriemi v SIDISu. 1
