Práce se zabývá otázkou, co vede mladé lidi k provozování rizikových sportů, i když se při tom vystavují určitému nebezpečí. V teoretické části jsou charakterizovány pojmy jako motivace, prožívání a stav plynutí, neboli flow. Praktická část obsahuje výzkum, ve kterém byla využita metoda dotazníku. Použity byly dva dotazníky (SSS standardizovaný a flow nestandardizovaný. Výzkum byl proveden na n=31 (17 žen, 14 mužů) adolescentech z krajského a okresního města, kteří se v různé míře věnují freestyle snowboardingu. Výzkum se především zaměřuje na to, jakou adolescenti vykazují míru vyhledávání rizikovosti. Druhá část výzkumu zjišťuje, zda probandi při dané činnosti dosahují stavu flow. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že adolescenti v SSS dosahovali nadprůměrných hodnot ve srovnání s normou, nejvyššího skóre v subškálách Dis a BS, v subškále ES dosáhli průměrného výsledku a v subškále TAS lehce podprůměrného výsledku. Ve flow probandi dosahovali lehce podprůměrných výsledků ve srovnání s německou normou. This work deals with the question of what brings young people to extreme sports, despite the fact that they are exposed to a certain amount of danger. The theoretical part explains terms such as motivation, sensation seeking and the state of flow. Tha practical part contains research that uses the method of a questionnaire. One standard and one non-standard questionnaires were used. The research used n=31 (17 woman, 14 man) local adolescents who showed different levels of devotion to freestyle snowboarding. The foremost focus of the research was to determine the amount of risk-seeking among adolescents. The second part of the research is designed to find out whether the respondents reach the state of flow during the given activity. The results show that the respondents reached above-average SSS values, the highest results respondents reached in Dis and BS, average results in ES and below-average in TAS. Respondents reached slightly below-average levels of flow in comparison with the German norm.
