Sociální kritika v knize Izajáš představuje sociální poměry mezi izraelským a judským národem. Zabývá se vládou krále Achaze, kdy hrozil útok od severního izraelského království a Aramu. Práce se také zmiňuje o králi Chizkijášovi, jeho osobě a vztahu k lidu. Důležitým faktem je, že skrze proroka Izajáše mluví Bůh. V druhé části této práce je vysvětlen pojem ,,sociální kritika`` a její pozice u kritika. Co se týče struktury knihy Izajáš, je několik různých vědeckých pohledů na rozdělení této knihy. Poté následuje Izajášův text týkající se hlavně zmíněného tématu, sociální kritiky. Zabývá se také významem proroctví pro všechen lid a vnáší tak aplikaci na dnešní dobu. Social critique in the book of Isaiah represents social conditions between Israel´s and Judea´s nation. The work is concerned with the reign of the king Achas. In that time there was a threat of attack from north Israel and Aram. The thesis is about the king Heskiah, his personality and his attitude to people. The important fact is that God is speaking through the prophet Isaiah. In the second part of this work the term social critique is explained, as well as its relation to the prophet himself. There are several different academic views on dividing the structure of the book Isaiah. After that the text of Isaiah is following. It concerns with social critique. It deals also with the meaning of prophecy for all people and thus it offers application for this time.
