Hlavou témou bakalárskej práce je teória zdravého mesta 21. storočia. Práca popisuje niektoré z hlavných problémov, s ktorými sa mestá dnešnej doby potýkajú, a ktorých ignorovanie, či odsúvanie môže mať nepriaznivé následky na kvalitu života ich obyvateľov. Práca začína stručnou históriou vzniku miest, následne si stanovuje kľúčové problémy a výzvy miest a mestského prostredia. Tieto problémy rozoberá a analyzuje, no zároveň poskytuje teoretické aj praktické riešenia. Prvá časť práce je charakteristika problémov, ich počiatky a negatívne následky. Ďalej práca pojednáva o trendoch bezpečné a zdravého, poprípade udržateľného verejného prostredia. Práca operuje hlave z poznatkami dánskeho architekta Jana Gehla a s jeho tvrdením, že mestá patria primárne ľuďom. V otázkach bezpečného mesta sa táto práca opiera o knihy Jane Jacobs, ktorá zastáva podobný názor ako Jan Gehl. Následne práca z obecnej roviny o zdravom meste prechádza k pomerom v meste Brno a podáva správu o stave kvality jeho verejného mestského priestoru. Následne sa práca presúva do praktickej časti, ktorá začína konkrétnymi opatrenia, či politikami, ktoré boli zavedené v zahraničí a osvedčili sa (splynili svoj účel). Bakalársku prácu ukončuje zjednodušený návrh na obnovu brownfieldu Kohnovej tehelne v Brne, kde sú uplatnené poznatky z teoretickej časti práce. The first part of the thesis focuses on characterizing the problems, their origins, and their negative consequences. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the trends related to safe and healthy, or sustainable, public spaces. The thesis operates with the knowledge of Danish architect Jan Gehl, who argues that cities should primarily be designed for people. In terms of addressing the issue of a safe city, this work draws upon the writings of Jane Jacobs, who holds a similar view to Jan Gehl. Subsequently, the thesis transitions from a general perspective on a healthy city to examining the situation in the city of Brno, providing an assessment of the state of its public urban space. The practical part then delves into specific measures and policies that have been implemented abroad and proven to be successful. The thesis concludes with a simplified proposal for the revitalization of the brownfield of the former Kohn´s brick factory in Brno, where the insights from the theoretical part of the thesis are applied.
