This thesis is focused on a novel miniaturized circularly polarized annular-ring microstrip antenna for Industrial, Scientific, and Medical band (2.4 -- 2.5 GHz). The proposed antenna is modelled in ANSYS HFSS, at first it's placed into a one-layer human skin model and its parameters are compared to the original letter. The antenna is then placed into a three-layer human tissue model and it is observed how the different medium and varying implantation depth affect its parameters. The antenna is then optimized for available substrates, manufactured and measured. Linearly polarized receiver antenna is designed and manufactured and transmission between it and circularly polarized antenna is measured for different mutual orientations.
