Předkládaná práce se zabývá mužskou perspektivou v módě a oblékání. Oděv pracuje s nejrůznějšími komunikačními prostředky, jež jsou užity s větším či menším vědomím jedince. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem se tato komunikace utváří, respektive co vstupuje do přemýšlení a rozhodování mužů v tématu odívání a jakou roli v tomto procesu sehrává jejich genderové vyjádření. Práce nejdříve představuje několik teoretických konceptů, které se s touto tématikou nevyhnutelně pojí. Dále je obohacena o kvalitativní výzkum, který prostřednictvím 11 rozhovorů s muži dvou věkových kategorií demonstruje zmíněná témata ve stínu českého kontextu. K následným zjištěním je přistupováno optikou metody zakotvené teorie. Stěžejním rozhodovacím elementem se ukázala být každodenní zkušenost, jež se projevuje v událostech, kterých se muži daný den účastní. Důležitým aspektem v životech mužů je také vnější vliv, který může přicházet z osobní roviny, kterou představují především jejich životní partnerky, či z roviny komunitní, kterou představují jejich zájmy a volnočasové aktivity. Tyto dva vlivné prameny zastřešuje celkový společenský kontext, který nastavuje obecná pravidla v tom, co je vhodné či očekávané. V případě vztahu k vlastnímu tělu se mužský postoj ukázal být neutrálním či přímo negativním, s potřebou... The presented work deals with the male perspective on fashion and dressing. Clothing works with various means of communication, which are used with greater or lesser awareness of the individual. The main aim of this work is to find out how this communication is formed. In other words, it is a study of what goes into men's thinking and decision-making when it comes to clothing and what role their gender expression plays in this process. The work first presents several theoretical concepts that are inevitably connected with this topic. It is further enriched by qualitative research, which presents the mentioned topics in Czech context through 11 interviews with men of two age categories. Subsequent findings are approached through the lens of the grounded theory method. The key decision-making element turned out to be the everyday experience, which is manifested in the events in which men participate on a given day. An important aspect in men's lives are also external influences, which can come from a personal level, mainly represented by their life partners, or from a community level, exemplified by interests and leisure activities.
