Práce je zaměřena na příspěvek na péči jako na moderní způsob pomoci lidem, kteří se bez ní neobejdou. Je rozdělena do 5 základních částí. První část je zaměřena na historický vývoj v oblasti péče o potřebné. Druhá část práce je věnována pohledu na péči o potřebné v rámci EU. Platné právní úpravy v oblasti sociálních služeb je obsahem části třetí. Čtvrtá část práce je věnována zákonu o sociálních službách se zaměřením na příspěvek na péči. Pátá část je výzkumná a zaměřená konkrétně na zmapování praktického využívání příspěvku na péči {--} jak z pohledu čerpání finančních prostředků, tak z pohledu následného využívání sociálních služeb registrovanými poskytovateli x poskytování péče (poskytovateli - laiky) z řady rodinných příslušníků a počtu žádostí {--} nových i žádostí o zvýšení v regionu Strakonice za období roku 2007, 2008 a 2009. V závěru je určité zhodnocení a zamyšlení se nad aktuální situací a možným vývojem do budoucna. Thesis deals with social benefits as a modern way to help people who can not do without it. It is divided into 5 basic parts. The first part is concerned with historical development of care for the needy. The second part is dedicated to analyzing the care needed within the EU. Valid legal regulation in the field of social services are the contents of part three. The fourth part is dedicated to the law on social services with a focus on the social benefits. The fifth part is research and specifically focused on mapping the practical use of the social benefits - both from the point of view of drawing funds and from the point of view of subsequent use of social services used by registrated provides versus providing care by family members and from the ranke of laymen and the number of applications - as well as new applications increase in Strakonice region for the years 2007, 2008 and 2009. In conclusion a certain assessment and reflection on the current situation and possible future developments.
