cze Abstract:
[cze][eng] Poruchami čichových schopností trpí až 20 % populace. Čichová dysfunkce má vliv na spoustu aspektů života od socializace až po kariérní rozvoj. Dosavadní léčba je často nákladná a nepříliš efektivní. Relativně novým nástrojem obnovy čichových schopností je čichový trénink spočívající v dlouhodobém periodickém čichání určených odorantů. Tato práce stručně provádí čtenáře čichovou anatomií a problematikou čichových poruch. Představuje čichový trénink jako terapeutickou metodu, jeho metodiku, vliv na obnovu čichové funkce a neuroplasticitu a poskytuje kritické zhodnocení dosavadních studií, nastínění probíhajících mechanismů a možnosti čichového tréninku v budoucnu.Almost one fifth of the population experiences olfactory dysfunction. It influences everyday life from socialisation skills to career paths. Existing treatments are usually expensive and with little effect. Recent therapy for olfactory recovery called olfactory training consists of long term periodic sniffing of chosen odourants. This thesis shortly guides the reader through the human olfactory anatomy and the problematics of olfactory dysfunction. It introduces a therapeutic method of olfactory training, its methodology and the effect it has on general olfactory abilities and neuroplasticity. It also provides a critical view of the existing studies as well as implications for the future and discusses the mechanisms behind recovery.
