Cílem práce je sestavení rešerši o současném stavu poznání o přípravě organických solárních článků, zejména o používaných materiálech, příprava tenkých vrstev a organických solárních článků ze studovaného a referenčních materiálů, charakterizace vlastností připravených vrstev a článků (optické vlastnosti, tloušťka a voltampérová charakteristika). V teoretické častí jsou popsaný hlavně organické solární články, jejich struktura, princip fungovaní a použité materiály. V Experimentální částí jsou popsány výroba organických solárních článků, použité metody při výrobě, vzniklé problémy a dilemata, a rovněž vysvětleny metody pro charakterizace vlastnosti vrstev a článků. Výsledkem je zjištění závislosti mezi jednotlivé vlastností vrstev, optimalizace výroby článků pomoci referenčních materiálů a výroba sérii se studovaným materiálem, který bude ohodnocen pomoci voltampérové charakteristiky.
