Diplomová práce pojmenovaná "Role sester v následné a dlouhodobé intenzivní péči'', se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se věnuje podrobnému popisu oddělení následné a dlouhodobé intenzivní péče a vysvětluje role sester, které plní ve své profesi. Cílem této práce bylo zmapovat, jaké role plní sestry pracující na jednotkách následné a dlouhodobé intenzivní péče a která z rolí je podle nich nejdůležitější. Pro dosažení toho cíle bylo zvoleno výzkumné šetření formou kvalitativního výzkumu. Empirická část diplomové práce byla zpracována pomocí techniky polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se sestrami, které pracují na těchto odděleních po celé České republice. Výzkumné šetření bylo provedeno v lednu roku 2023. V rámci výzkumu bylo uskutečněno deset rozhovorů se všeobecnými sestrami, sestrami s vysokoškolským titulem či sestrami s odbornou specializací. Po uskutečnění a zpracování rozhovoru v programu MAXQDA 2022, byly rozhovory analyzovány pomocí kategorizace dat a následným kódováním. Z výzkumného šetření vyplývá, že sestry znají základní role, dokážou je specifikovat, ale v praxi si jejich plnění příliš neuvědomují. Role sester se prolínají a díky nim mohou sestry dostatečně uspokojit potřeby pacienta. The diploma thesis entitled "The role of nurses in follow-up and long-term intensive care", consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with a detailed departments description and explains the roles nurses fulfill in their profession. The aim of this work was to map the roles performed by nurses working in follow-up and long-term intensive care units and which of the roles they believe is the most important. In order to achieve that goal, a research investigation in the form of qualitative research was chosen. The empirical part of the diploma thesis was processed using the technique of semi-structured interviews with nurses who work in these departments throughout the Czech Republic. The research was carried out in January 2023. As part of the research, ten interviews were conducted with general nurses, nurses with a university degree or nurses with a professional specialization. After conducting and processing the interview in the MAXQDA 2022 program, the interviews were analyzed using data categorization and subsequent coding. The research shows that nurses know the basic roles, can specify them, but in practice they are not very aware of their fulfillment. The roles of nurses are intertwined, and thanks to them, nurses can adequately meet the needs of the patient.
