Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou bezodpadové budoucnosti. Pojednává o možnostech udržitelného rozvoje, cirkulární ekonomiky a životního stylu Zero Waste (dále jen ZW). Práce je strukturována do dvou částí - teoretické, která se zabývá vývojem a popisem výše zmíněných problematik a praktické, která zjišťuje, jaké jsou překážky k rozšíření životního stylu ZW. Výzkum se opírá o otázky finanční a časové náročnosti ZW, dostupnosti informací a subjektů zabývajících se ZW činnostmi. Bylo zjištěno, že ačkoli je současná veřejnost stále ovlivněna konzumním způsobem života, uchyluje se její část k praktikování vybraných pravidel směru Zero Waste. Nejvíce lidí se zabývá tříděním odpadu (Recycle), zbylé oblasti R's poskytují příležitost pro rozvoj. Hlavními překážkami v rozšíření životního stylu Zero Waste je především nedostupnost informací o ZW, nedostupnost ZW obchodů a dalších iniciativ a také jeho časová náročnost. Doporučení krozšíření ZW se zakládají především na zvýšení propagace udržitelného způsobu života, potažmo jednotlivých pravidel ZW, a to pomocí internetu, médií, činností měst a obcí a v neposlední řadě také pomocí vzdělávacích činností na všech úrovních vzdělávání. Dále je vhodné zmínit podporu vzniku nových ZW iniciativ či podporu změny spotřebitelského smýšlení. This thesis deals with the issue of a waste-free future. It discusses the possibilities of sustainable development, circular economy and Zero Waste lifestyle. The thesis is structured in two parts - a theoretical one, which deals with the development and description of the above mentioned issues, and a practical one, which finds out what are the obstacles to the spread of the Zero Waste lifestyle. The research is based on the issues of financial and time commitment to Zero Waste, availability of information and actors involved in Zero Waste activities. It was found that although the contemporary public is still influenced by consumerist lifestyles, a section of it resorts to practicing selected rules of the Zero Waste direction. Most of the people are engaged in waste segregation (Recycle), the remaining areas of R's provide opportunity for development. The main barriers to the spread of Zero Waste lifestyle are the lack of information about Zero Waste, the unavailability of Zero Waste shops and other initiatives, and its time-consuming nature. Recommendations for the expansion of Zero Waste are mainly based on increasing the promotion of sustainable lifestyles, and consequently of the individual Zero Waste rules, through the internet, the media, the activities of cities and municipalities and, last but not least, through educational activities at all levels of education. It is also worth mentioning the support for the creation of new Zero Waste initiatives or the promotion of a change in consumer attitudes.
