Ve své práci se zabývám tématem spirituálních potřeb hospitalizovaných pacientů. Výzkum byl zpracován za pomoci polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s devíti informanty, kteří mají určitý vztah ke spiritualitě. Cílem výzkumné části bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, jaké spirituální potřeby mají hospitalizovaní pacienti, dále porovnat naplňování spirituálních potřeb u religiózních a nereligiózních pacientů, a také zjistit, zda pandemie onemocněním Covid-19 ovlivnila spirituální potřeby pacientů a možnosti jejich naplňování. V teoretické části je kladen důraz na nezastupitelnost spirituality v holistickém pojetí péče o pacienta. Dále jsou vysvětleny odborné pojmy, aby bylo možné se v problematice lépe zorientovat. Poté je teoretická část práce orientována na spirituální péči poskytovanou kaplany či zdravotníky - jakým způsobem mohou poskytovat duchovní podporu nemocným lidem. V práci je také věnován prostor historickému kontextu spirituální péče. V závěru teoretické části práce popisuji etapy duchovního rozvoje. V praktické části práce provádím analýzu rozhovorů s kaplany, zdravotními sestrami a pacienty v oblasti spirituálních potřeb na zadané výzkumné otázky. Všímám si, nakolik jsou kaplani, sestry a pacienti obeznámeni s oblastí naplňování spirituálních potřeb. Tato práce může posloužit ve výuce jako ilustrativní příklad spirituálních potřeb pacientů. Může také pomoci zdravotnickým pracovníkům k indikování duchovní péče. Výzkumným šetřením bylo zjištěno, jaké mají pacienti spirituální potřeby, zda jsou rozdílné v závislosti na jejich religiozitě a také že onemocnění Covid-19 způsobilo zvýšený zájem o naplnění spirituálních potřeb pacientů. In my work, I deal with the topic of spiritual needs of hospitalized patients. The research was carried out with the help of semi-structured interviews with nine informants who have a certain relationship to spirituality. The aim of the research part of the bachelor's thesis was to find out what spiritual needs hospitalized patients have, to further compare the fulfillment of spiritual needs in religious and non-religious patients, and also to find out whether the Covid-19 pandemic affects the spiritual needs of patients and the possibilities of their fulfillment. In the theoretical part, emphasis is placed on the irreplaceability of spirituality in the holistic concept of patient care. Furthermore, technical terms are explained in order to better orient oneself in the issue. After that, the theoretical part of the work is oriented towards the spiritual care provided by chaplains or health workers - how they can provide spiritual support to sick people. In the work, space is also devoted to historical spiritual care. At the end of the theoretical part of the work describing the stages of spiritual development. In the practical part of the work, I analyze interviews with chaplains, nurses and patients in the area of spiritual needs for the assigned research questions. I notice how familiar the chaplains, nurses and patients are in the area of fulfilling spiritual needs. This work can be used in teaching as an illustrative example of the spiritual needs of patients. It can also help healthcare professionals to indicate spiritual care. The research revealed what patients' spiritual needs are, whether they differ depending on their religiosity, and also that the Covid-19 disease has caused an increased interest in fulfilling patients' spiritual needs.
