Diplomová práce se zabývá matematikou ve světě sportu. Cílem bylo ukázat, jak je matematika pro sport důležitá a její velké využití. Práce se dělí na dvě části. V první podrobně rozebíráme atletický desetiboj. Konkrétně se zabýváme bodovacím systémem, nárůsty bodů, procentuálními rozdíly a vlivem jednotlivých výkonů v různých disciplínách. Text by měl sloužit i jako rada pro trenéry desetibojařů, a to jakým směrem by měli vést svoje tréninky pro zlepšení svých svěřenců. Poslední část kapitoly se věnuje porovnání výsledků nejlepších desetibojařů. Druhá část rozebírá biatlon. Opět jsou hlavní náplní práce úpravy systémů bodování a různé strategie biatlonistů, do kterých zahrnujeme i vliv vnějších podmínek. Práce řeší pouze vytrvalostní závody a sprinty u celkem osmi vybraných závodníků. V závěru práce jsou také rady a tipy pro zlepšení výkonnosti závodníků. The diploma thesis deals with mathematics in the world of sports. The aim was to show how important mathematics is for sport and its great use. The work was divided into two parts. In the first, we discuss the athletic decathlon in detail. Specifically, we deal with the scoring system, the increase of points, percentage differences and the influence of individual performances in different disciplines. The text should also serve as advice for decathlete coaches, in which direction they should lead their training for the improvement of their charges. The last part of the chapter is dedicated to comparing the results of the best decathletes. The second part analyzes biathlon. Again, the main content of the work is the adjustment of scoring systems and various strategies of biathletes, in which we also include the influence of external conditions. The work deals only with endurance races and sprints for a total of eight selected competitors. At the end of the thesis there are also hints and tips for improving the performance of competitors.
